NaijaGrove Music Spotlight: Shoday and Magixx join forces on “CHE,” a melodic Afrobeats collaboration that brings together two artists known for their smooth vocal styles and catchy musical energy.
The record places both singers at the centre of the production, with Shoday bringing his familiar rhythmic delivery while Magixx adds his polished and expressive vocal touch. The combination gives “CHE” a balanced sound that moves between infectious melodies and an easy Afrobeats groove.
“CHE” also arrives during an active period for Shoday, following his 2026 releases including “MOVE.” The new collaboration gives him another opportunity to build on the momentum surrounding his recent music while connecting with Magixx, whose catalogue includes songs such as “Love Don’t Cost a Dime,” “All Over,” “Chocolate” and “Everyday.”
One of the interesting elements surrounding “CHE” is the chemistry between the two artists. Shoday’s energetic approach complements Magixx’s melodic style, creating a record that feels designed for repeat listening. The song’s hook-led structure also gives it the kind of accessibility that can work naturally across Afrobeats playlists and social media.
For fans of contemporary Nigerian music, “CHE” adds another collaboration to the growing Afrobeats catalogue of both artists. It is a smooth meeting of Shoday’s street-influenced energy and Magixx’s polished Mavin-era sound.
