Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido is bringing his music back home with a special three-night concert residency at the National Theatre in Lagos.
The singer has announced “Oriadé: The Residency,” a major live event scheduled to take place at the National Theatre in Iganmu from December 17 to 19, 2026. The three-night celebration will mark 15 years of Davido’s journey in music and bring his latest musical era to the Lagos stage.
Davido shared the announcement with his fans through his social media platforms, describing the event as a homecoming. The announcement was accompanied by a promotional video featuring the singer performing for large audiences alongside scenes of Lagos and the National Theatre.
The residency takes its name from Oriadé, Davido’s latest album. The project features collaborations with several notable artists, including Black Sherif, Mayorkun, FOLA, Leon Thomas, Aya Nakamura, Llona, NO11, JAZZWRLD and GL_Ceejay.
For the Lagos concerts, Davido is expected to perform songs from Oriadé alongside some of the records that have defined his career. The residency will give fans an opportunity to experience the newer material in a major live setting while also revisiting songs from different stages of his career.
The National Theatre is also significant to the announcement. According to TheCable Lifestyle, the event represents the first Afrobeats residency at the National Theatre, making the three-night run a notable addition to Lagos’ growing live entertainment scene.
Ticket sales are scheduled to begin on September 25, while members of Davido’s 30BG community are set to receive early access through the presale. Ticket prices and further details about the performances are expected to be announced through the official channels.
The residency also follows a busy period in Davido’s international career. The singer recently completed his 5IVE ALIVE World Tour, performed at Coachella and continued his run of international appearances before turning his attention back toward Lagos.
Alongside the residency announcement, Davido has also released the music video for “On The Road,” a song that reflects on his life and experiences while travelling for music. The video includes footage connected to different moments in his recent career.
With three consecutive nights planned at one of Lagos’ most recognised cultural venues, Oriadé: The Residency is shaping up as one of Davido’s major homecoming events. Fans will have three opportunities to see the Afrobeats star perform in Lagos while he celebrates 15 years of music and brings the Oriadé era to the stage.
