Nigerian-American artist Big Klef is back with a new project, Naija Papi (Side A), continuing a musical journey that has seen him blend Nigerian influences with hip-hop and trap.
The eight-track project features “Ulé,” “Show Me,” “Nothing Less,” “Langga,” “Sweet Love” featuring Young Fyah, “Shake It,” “Pull Up,” and “Heartbreak.”
Big Klef, whose real name is Kenneth Ofigho, is originally from Warri, Delta State, and is based in California. Beyond being a recording artist, he is also a songwriter and digital audio engineer, with experience working across the Nigerian and American music scenes.
A major part of Big Klef’s identity is his AfroTrap sound. He has previously explained that he began developing the concept around 2011, combining African musical influences with American trap and hip-hop while drawing inspiration from his experiences growing up in the Niger Delta.
His catalogue includes projects such as AfroTrap 2, TRIPS and No Smoke Without Fire, while his earlier record “IDIAGBON” remains one of the songs associated with his AfroTrap journey.
With Naija Papi (Side A), Big Klef continues to build on that identity while presenting a project that reflects his Nigerian roots and his experience in the United States.
