Nigerian singer and songwriter Kashcoming is back with a new single titled “Chaser,” adding another release to his growing catalogue as he continues to build momentum within Nigeria’s Afrobeats scene.
The new record sees Kashcoming continuing the musical direction that has helped him develop a growing audience both in Nigeria and beyond. Known for his distinctive street-pop influenced sound and catchy expressions, the Ibadan-born artist has steadily established himself as one of the names to watch in the new generation of Nigerian music.
“Chaser” is credited to Kashcoming, whose real name is Ashiru Lateef Okekayode, with Dwillsharmony listed as a songwriter and Demmy Jones handling production. The song is released through Dvpper Digital.
Kashcoming first gained wider attention with “Saloo”, which later received a remix featuring BNXN. He went on to release his debut album On a Low and projects including More Kashcoming and Blessed, I’m Not Lucky.
His catalogue also includes collaborations with artists such as Seyi Vibez, Zlatan, Lojay and Mavo, while songs including “How Low,” “Oblee (Remix),” “Hello Hello” and “All My Money” have helped expand his profile.
