Ayra Starr and ZAYN’s “Heaven Baby” Climbs to No. 2 in Nigeria

Ayra Starr has another major chart moment on her hands as her collaboration with British pop star ZAYN, “Heaven Baby,” rises to No. 2 on the Official Nigeria Top 100.

The song’s latest jump comes just two weeks after its chart debut, showing how quickly listeners in Nigeria have embraced the cross-continental collaboration.

“Heaven Baby” entered the Nigeria Top 100 at No. 4 before climbing two places to reach its new peak. The song now sits directly behind Davido, Mayorkun and FOLA’s “B4 B4,” which continues to hold the No. 1 position.

“Heaven Baby” Keeps Gaining Ground

The latest chart result gives Ayra Starr another reason to celebrate following the release of her third studio album, Starrgirl.

“Heaven Baby” recorded 2.39 million on-demand streams in Nigeria during the latest tracking period, placing it third on the streaming component of the chart. It also generated 71.3 million in radio reach, ranking third on the radio component.

Those figures helped the song make its move from No. 4 to No. 2.

The performance also puts “Heaven Baby” among Ayra Starr’s biggest-performing singles on the Nigerian chart.

According to TurnTable Charts, the song has now matched the No. 2 peak previously achieved by “Who’s Dat Girl,” her collaboration with Rema in 2025. That makes “Heaven Baby” the highest-charting single from the Starrgirl album so far.

A Collaboration That Brings Two Worlds Together

Part of the excitement surrounding “Heaven Baby” comes from the combination of Ayra Starr and ZAYN.

Ayra Starr has become one of the leading young voices in Afrobeats, while ZAYN brings an established international pop audience to the collaboration.

Rather than simply relying on the names attached to the record, the song has been building momentum across different markets.

It has also attracted attention outside Nigeria, adding another international dimension to Ayra Starr’s growing career.

The track is part of Starrgirl, which arrived on August 14, 2026, and contains 16 songs.

Ayra Starr’s “Starrgirl” Era Is Taking Shape

The rise of “Heaven Baby” is another indication that Starrgirl is beginning to establish its own identity.

Instead of depending on one sound, Ayra Starr explores different sides of her artistry across the project, with collaborations helping to expand the album’s reach.

The ZAYN-assisted record has emerged as one of the most talked-about songs from the project, while other tracks continue to make their own impact.

The album’s release has also coincided with an increasingly international period for Ayra Starr.

At her recent All Points East performance in London, the singer performed “Heaven Baby” with ZAYN appearing on the big screen during the performance.

Another Big Moment for Ayra Starr

The No. 2 position is significant because it continues a pattern that has defined Ayra Starr’s career over the past few years.

The singer has repeatedly turned individual songs into major chart moments, while collaborations have helped introduce her to audiences beyond the core Afrobeats market.

“Heaven Baby” now gives her another major Nigerian chart achievement and places her alongside some of the biggest songs currently competing for attention.

The song’s performance is particularly impressive because it has moved up the chart rather than simply debuting high and falling away.

Going from No. 4 to No. 2 in its second week suggests that its momentum is still developing.

Can “Heaven Baby” Reach No. 1?

That is now the big question.

With “Heaven Baby” sitting at No. 2, the gap between Ayra Starr and the current chart leader is the next challenge.

Davido, Mayorkun and FOLA’s “B4 B4” has now spent four consecutive weeks at No. 1, making it the song to beat.

Whether “Heaven Baby” can eventually take the top spot will depend on its streaming numbers, radio performance and continued audience interest in the coming weeks.

For now, though, Ayra Starr and ZAYN have already achieved a significant milestone.

The Song’s International Momentum

The Nigerian chart success is only part of the story.

“Heaven Baby” has also generated interest internationally, with the song appearing across several charts and gaining traction on streaming and discovery platforms.

Shazam’s global data, for example, shows that the song reached No. 6 on the Global Shazam Chart and spent multiple days inside the platform’s Top 50.

That international response is important for Ayra Starr because her career has increasingly moved beyond Nigeria.

A song that performs strongly at home while simultaneously attracting listeners abroad gives her another opportunity to strengthen her position as one of Africa’s most internationally recognised young stars.

What This Means for Ayra Starr

“Heaven Baby” is more than another successful collaboration for Ayra Starr.

Its rapid rise gives her another strong chart achievement during the early stages of her Starrgirl era and shows that her music continues to connect with Nigerian listeners even when she experiments with international collaborations.

For ZAYN, the song also represents a notable connection with the Nigerian music market.

The former One Direction star has now secured a No. 2 position on the Official Nigeria Top 100 with “Heaven Baby,” adding another milestone to the collaboration.

For now, the song has momentum, the audience is responding and the No. 1 position is within sight.

Whether Ayra Starr and ZAYN can push “Heaven Baby” one step further remains to be seen.

But one thing is already clear: the song is having a major moment in Nigeria.
