NaijaGrove Music Spotlight: Barry Jhay teams up with ZiiBeats on “Pami,” a fresh Nigerian street-pop collaboration that brings together Barry Jhay’s familiar melodic storytelling and ZiiBeats’ contemporary production style. The track is listed among Barry Jhay’s current releases and appears alongside his recent Barrystar, Vol. 2 era.
“Pami” gives Barry Jhay room to lean into the expressive vocal approach that has become a defining part of his music. His delivery carries a reflective quality, while the production provides a rhythmic backdrop that keeps the song connected to the modern Afrobeats and street-pop sound.
The collaboration with ZiiBeats adds another dimension to the record. Known for working across contemporary African music, ZiiBeats brings a production-led presence that complements Barry Jhay’s vocals without taking away from the song’s central melody.
Barry Jhay has continued to build his catalogue around themes of ambition, perseverance, faith and everyday experiences. His Barrystar, Vol. 2 project further reflects that direction, with 17 tracks and collaborations involving artists including Reekado Banks and Blaqbonez.
For listeners following Barry Jhay’s latest musical journey, “Pami” adds another collaboration to his growing catalogue and gives fans more of the street-rooted, melodic sound that has remained central to his artistry.
