Nigerian rap heavyweight Phyno is back with a new single titled “Healing,” adding another powerful record to his 2026 catalogue.
The new release sees the Enugu-born rapper taking a reflective direction, with the song centred around loss, grief, friendship and the difficult process of finding peace after losing someone close. Phyno uses his familiar combination of indigenous expression, Nigerian Pidgin and contemporary African sounds to deliver a deeply personal record.
“Healing” arrives as another addition to what has already been an active year for Phyno. The rapper previously released “Na Afa Nna (Freestyle)” and “Uzo Ano,” continuing to expand his catalogue while maintaining his position as one of the most respected voices in Nigerian hip-hop.
Phyno, whose real name is Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike, has spent more than a decade establishing himself as one of the leading figures in indigenous Nigerian rap. His ability to combine Igbo language and culture with hip-hop has played a major role in shaping his distinctive identity.
The new single is also already gaining attention from listeners. Its official Spotify listing places “Healing” at 2 minutes and 35 seconds, released through Penthauze / MAD Solutions LLC.
