Nigerian Afrobeats star Mayorkun is back with a new single titled “Kaluba,” adding another record to his catalogue as he continues a strong run in the Nigerian music scene.
The new song arrives shortly after Mayorkun’s appearance on Davido’s “B4 B4” featuring FOLA, a collaboration that has been enjoying major attention on the Nigerian music charts. “Kaluba” gives The Mayor another opportunity to keep that momentum going with a solo release.
Mayorkun, whose real name is Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, has remained one of Nigeria’s most recognizable Afrobeats acts since breaking into the mainstream with hits such as “Eleko,” “Mama,” “Geng,” “Betty Butter” and “Certified Loner (No Competition).
His catalogue also includes the albums The Mayor of Lagos, Back In Office and Still The Mayor. Spotify currently lists Mayorkun with more than 3.6 million monthly listeners, showing the continued size of his audience.
