LIVE: Osun Election 2026 β€” Polling Unit Updates, Ward Results, LGA Scores & Winner

Osun State is voting today, August 15, 2026, and NaijaGrove is following the election as it unfolds across the state.

8:54 AM β€” Ejigbo: INEC officials and security personnel arrive

INEC officials and security personnel were reported at polling units across Ejigbo LGA early in the morning.

At Unit 009, Open Space, opposite Alasepo Food Canteen, Ward 001, electoral officials were on ground as voters and party agents arrived. Party agents were also registering their names in the INEC register.

At Unit 005, Ward 003, voters had formed a queue while an INEC official explained the voting procedure.

Voters were also reported waiting at Unit 04, Ward 1.

8:52 AM β€” Osogbo: Voters turn out at Ward 5, Oroki Egbedore

Early election activity has also been reported at Ward 5, Oroki Egbedore, Osogbo, with voters and election materials arriving as the process gets underway.

8:49 AM β€” 80-year-old traditional chief joins queue in Ejigbo

One of the more striking scenes from election morning came from Unit 04, Ward 1, Ejigbo, where 80-year-old Chief Ramon Busari, the Oluode of Ejigbo, joined other voters waiting to cast their ballots.

He described voting as both a right and a responsibility and encouraged younger voters to participate peacefully.

8:45 AM β€” Ede: Election materials arrive early

Election materials were reported at polling units in Ede, Governor Ademola Adeleke’s hometown.

Among the locations visited were Ward 2, Unit 9, Ede North and other polling units. Officials were putting up voter registers while security personnel and election observers were also present.

Governor Ademola Adeleke, the Accord Party candidate, arrived at his polling unit in Ede for accreditation and voting, according to Channels Television’s live coverage.

8:36 AM β€” Elderly voter casts ballot in Osogbo

Channels Television reported that an elderly woman had cast her vote in Osogbo as voting continued.

8:30 AM β€” Voting officially begins

Accreditation and voting officially commenced, according to Channels Television.

At Sabo Agbongbe II, Ward 7, Ede LGA, polling units 001 and 011 had voting cubicles and materials set up, with voters waiting to participate.

8:10 AM β€” Ede North and Osogbo see early voter activity

THISDAY reported that voters were checking their names at Ward 4, Unit 6, Abere, Ede North, while voters at Ward 4, Unit 13, Osogbo LGA had arrived as early as 6:50 AM awaiting electoral officers and voting materials.

7:50 AM β€” Iragbiji voters wait for electoral officers

At Ward 3, Unit 16, Iragbiji, Boripe LGA, voters reportedly arrived before electoral officers and had been waiting since about 7:15 AM.

7:30 AM β€” Osogbo roads largely deserted

Major roads in Osogbo were reported to be unusually quiet as security agencies positioned personnel ahead of the election and movement restrictions took effect. Polling units were also being prepared for voting.
